SOUTHERN FUEL COUPES KICKS OFF SEASON AT WARESHOALS S.C

A record breaking crowd watched as "Southern Fuel Coupes" put on a great Show to the delight of all in attendance.

Final first round pairings pitted new member Brad Bowen's 2001 Corvette against Keith Floyd and Jimmy Walton's 1963 Corvette pro mod. Floyd had his car dialed in and took the win at 4.68 to Bowen's early shut off 5.20.

Next pairings pitted 2000 "Southern Fuel Coupes" champ Jim Dickey against rookie driver Brad Bowen IV. The rookie strapped a holeshot on Dickey and was ahead at the ? point before Dickey was able to take a come from behind win with low E.T. of 4.61 to Bowen's 4.81. The Bowen father and son team showed that not only does their car look first class but also has the potential to be a serious threat in any race.
